Travel research for people who don’t have time to obsess

Welcome!

I’m Amanda, a neurodivergent homeschooling mom of 2 with a love of travel, research, and spreadsheets. My day job is REALLY hard. So, I often decompress by spending hours exploring in Google Maps and researching trips. I’m not an influencer. I don’t post much on social media. I’m just someone who genuinely enjoys travel planning and wants to share it with others.

I started the Obsessive Researcher’s Travel Guide because I love to research and plan trips. I like mapping routes, comparing options, building spreadsheets, and figuring out the most logical way to make a trip work.

What I’ve realized, though, is that a lot of people find this process completely overwhelming, and it prevents them from moving forward. The research, the decisions, and endless options…. it can feel paralyzing

(like the chaos that is my dining room table is to me).

I figured If I’m already down the rabbit hole building the plan, I might as well share it and make it useful for others as well. Plus, someone needs to take these trips even if it's not always me.

If you love the idea of travel but feel overwhelmed by the planning, you’re in the right place.
